Q I am suffering from acidity last one month, my stomach and neck to abdomen is burning. i have left all type of rich food , only taking daliya as breakfast and lunch, then tack in diner milk and chapati. kindly advise medicine , and also advise what i take food and avoid which food
Common causes of acidity include: irregular meals habits, side effects of certain medication like NSAIDs, stress, gastritis etc. Chew a piece of jaggery after all three meals. Do not remain empty stomach for long hours. Try to eat some thing after every three hours. Include all green vegetables and high fibre foods in diet (apple, banana, papaya, watermelon etc, ), A cup of cold milk should be taken at bed time. Avoid sleeping immediately after dinner. Have dinner at least two hours before bed. Buttermilk daily is effective against acidity. Avoid spicy foods, junk foods, deep fried foods. Avoid tea-coffee. Avoid smoking and alcohol as they cause gastritis. Have adequate sleep. If problem persist you may require an endoscopic examination of your stomach and abdomen to know thee cause of your acidity.
