My friends father had a heart attack on last friday. The doctor has taken some reports and says will do the angiogram on tuesday to confirm how to proceed further. I am a little skeptical about this. Can the echo report confirm exactly what is the amount?????
No echo-cardiogram cannot tell you the amount of blockage. It can tell you the size and shape of the heart, its pumping capacity, location and the extent of tissue damage. It can calculate cardiac output, ejaculation fraction and the diastolic function. An angiogram can show narrowing and blockage in the blood vessel. It can show if coronary disease is present or not and how bad it is. So what your doctor has suggested is right.

On dog bit I consulted Doctor he gave injections and said to come further few more specific days for injection & write a Tablet also "AMPICLOX" but when I purchased it outside from a Medical store he gave me "AMPILOX". I am 40 Yrs old. Diagnosed @ 30 Yrs. for Aneamic, done blood transmission, diagnosed Bradycardia. Implanted Dual Chamber Permanent Pacemaker. In 2011, diagnosed with Carcinoid in Stomach. My present Sr. Gastrin level is 2445 & Sr. Chromogranin-A is 645. No metastasis as per Dotonac PETCT. IHC (Ki-67) is less than 2%. Is it a cancerous tumor. What is the medication for controlling the growth of tumor / reducing the Sr. Gastrin & Chromogranin-A levels and also what is the medication for controlling / curing the growth of the tumer. Also suggest the next course of treatment.
The treatment depends upon the type, grade, stage of the malignancy or tumour. The treatment plan involves chemotherapy, radiation and or surgery in consultation with the onocologist.
