It is a type of delusional disorder that occurs in patients suffering from a wide range of mental illnesses like bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. In this, the delusions are generally fantastic and typically have a supernatural, science-fictional, or religious theme. The person feel that, he has an over-inflated sense of self-worth, power, knowledge, or identity. The person might believe he or she has a great talent or has made an important discovery. Delusional disorder is typically a chronic (ongoing) condition, but when properly treated, many people with this disorder can find relief from their symptoms. The treatment includes personal psychotherapy, CBT, medications and life style changes etc.
