Causes of indigestion are : irregular eating habits, eating food hurriedly, sleeping immediately after meals, any kind of physical activity immediately after meals, side effects of medication, stress, smoking, any underlying disease like ulcer, stomach infection, thyroid disease. If any of these is true in your case please rectify it. Following are some general guidelines to reduce indigestion: Try to have your dinner at least 2 hours before bed time. Include a glass of buttermilk with few coriander leaves after every meal. It will improve your digestion. Increase your water intake and include more fibre rich food in your diet such as whole grain, fruits like papaya, banana, green leafy vegetable to help you pass free motion in morning.
