Gas is air in the digestive tract which leaves the body when people burp through the mouth or pass gas through the anus. Gas in the digestive tract is usually caused by swallowing air and by the breakdown of certain foods in the large intestine by bacteria. The most common symptoms of gases are belching, flatulence, abdominal bloating and pain. Sometimes, the gases may lead to heart palpitations. Here are some of the tips to prevent gas in the abdomen- 1. Eat slowly and chew your food well. Smoking and excessive chewing of gum or sweets also cause you to swallow more air than you should be. 3. It is advised that you do not overeat. When the stomach is full, it tries to ease the pressure by releasing trapped gas. 4. Avoid fizzy drinks. 5. Exercise regularly. This is a solution to most minor physical ailments. A regular exercise helps all the organs of the body working as they should be. 6. Yoga is also a great way to improve the functioning of your digestive system. 7.
