Q my food is not getting digested
Indigestion can be due to several reasons like Irregular eating habits, eating hurriedly, food rich in fats, side effects of certain medications, doing any physical activity immediately after eating, some stomach diseases like gastritis, ulcers, infection. Excessive alcohol consumption, smoking and excessive stress can also cause indigestion. It is necessary that you consult a doctor who can give you proper treatment and tell you the cause of your trouble after proper examination and depending upon your symptoms. Till then you can follow these general measures like : Eat your food slowly. Post meals take a glass of buttermilk with cumin seeds to improve your digestion. Fruits like apple and papaya are very good for healthy digestion. Follow a regular eating pattern. Take food at least 2 hours before going to bed.
