Q Anxiety/panic sufferers - please give me a hand? Im 16 and suffer with anxiety/panic attacks (was getting better but personal family stuff recently set it off again) the problem is, i have an huge, irrational fear of passing out or loosing conciseness, i often get hot flushes and lightheaded-ness which then convinces me i am going to pass out. I have had this fear/feeling for over a year now on and off, never once have i actually passed out, and even when i just sit there trying to ignore it, it never gets any worse than it has done before. Plus the doctor has assured me that unless i am hyperventilating, there is not much chance of me passing out from anxiety/panic. I just felt i needed some reassurance from people who have perhaps suffered themselves that i will actually be okay
