Q I am 34 year old male, developed a lump near my left testicle, since few years, not paining, i masturbate much, can this be cancer? what tests I need to do?
The inactive lump since years may be benign tumour which remain throughout life. Most of the lumps are non-cancerous. Vericocele, hydrocele, epididymal cysts and testicular torsion are possible causes of your lump. Masturbation has no relation with the lump. Other causes of lump include anatomical abnormalities, infections, hernia, and tumors. Testicular cancer is uncommon and usually seen in people having history of testicular cancer or undescended testes at the time of birth. To diagnose the condition you need to consult your doctor for physical examination. Blood tests, ultrasound, biopsy may help to confirm the diagnosis for cancer.
