Q My uric acid level is high. I am 39 year old man. What food should I eat and what to avoid ?
Uric acid levels can be reduced by modifying the diet. Foods that you can eat are: Whole grains, fresh fruits, green veggies, lean proteins like chicken and fish, low fat yogurt and skim milk is also allowed. Increase your water intake. Foods that you need to avoid: Refined foods such as white bread and bakery products, foods high in saturated fats, red meat, alcohol, certain fish like scallops, mackerel, sardines, herring, etc.
