Q How can you improve your concentration and focus?
Hi. Lack of concentration can be because of several reasons like Lack of sleep, dietary deficiencies, fatigue, effect of any illness or medicines, stress or anxiety etc. To improve your concentration it is very necessary to be determinate and firm about your decision. Also it is a skillful work to focus on targeted point and requires patience and practise. We are giving you some general guidelines to improve your concentration: 1. whenever you study or do any work, try to focus on that only. Do not let your mind to wander. Do not do multitasking at one time. It will reduce concentration and quality of your work. 2. Have sufficient sleep as unsatisfactory sleep make your mind irritable and will result in lack of concentration. At least 7-8 hrs sound sleep is necessary. 3. Lack of vitamins and minerals also lead poor concentration. Eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables which are loaded with vitamins and minerals and antioxidants that improves brain functioning grossly. 4. Doing meditation daily will help you greatly to improve concentration. Meditation is nothing but focusing your mind to a particular thing for some time. There are several techniques of practising meditation. You can go for any with which you are comfortable. 5. Eat diet rich in omega 3 fatty acids like almonds, walnuts, salmon or tuna fish, flaxseed oil etc. 6. Also you can try Yoga poses. Which also help you greatly.
