I got married 8 month back and i was taking femilon for 7 months as my periods were not regular and also i don~t want to conceive. Now i want to conceive, i went to clinic my doctor suggested to go for ovulation study. On 14th day my doctor asked me to have contact day after means on 16th day but we had 17th day morning as my husband was out of station. Can you explain me what ovulation study is and what should be the size of endo, rt ovaries and left ovaries. When should we have sex so that we can have pregnancy soon also is there a way to know within a week whether i am pregnant or not?
Ovulation study is a test to monitor ovulation cycle. It helps to predict the approximate time of ovulation and determine whether or not the follicle has ruptured a nd release egg for fretilization. It also helps to determine the thickness of the endometrial linning. Endometrial thickness of 6mm or more around ovulation is considered as good for implantation. Egg follicle size of 20mm or more is considered good for ovulation or egg release. It has been found that sperm can remain alive in vagina for upto 7 days. So if you have unprotected sex every 2 or 3 days then the sperm will be at right place when you ovulate. Regular sex throughout the cyle is recommended by most experts to increase chance of getting pregnant. Making love when the cervical mucus is wet and slippery will also increase your chance of pregnancy. Urine pregnancy test can be done to know whether you are pregnant or not.
