Q Im having hyperprolactenemia(excess prolactin levels) for which im using cabergoline to regularize my periods. Previously i used bromocriptine, and now my doctor prescribed cabergoline, so using it now. But having side effects like sever menstrual cramps, nausea, low bp, etc.... My doctor told to continue, as she said i would have the side effects for initially only... But recently i got to know about homeopathy medicines regarding my issue.
Cabergoline has less side effects, more convenient dosing than the previously used bromocriptine. It is also the first line agent to treat prolactinomas. So you should listen to your doctor and continue its use. Regarding the use of homoeopathic medicine for your condition it is advisable that you consult a registered homoeopath. Also you should have a word with your doctor if you are planning to use both therapy together.
