Q What are the symptoms of heart attack? Sometime i feel i am going to have heart attack but it turns out acidity or gastric problem. Doctor says there is nothing to worry about as i am hale and hearty but after reading that even young boys and girls are getting heart attack is there any method or medicine to take even though it is not heart attack just as first aid. Mostly i get anxious when something happens unexpected or i have to do something which i dont like to do.
The classical symptoms of heart attack- Pressure, tightness, pain, or a squeezing or aching sensation in your chest or arms that may spread to your neck, jaw or back), a feeling of fullness, nausea, indigestion, heartburn or abdominal pain, shortness of breath, sweating or a cold sweat, feelings of anxiety or an impending sense of doom, fatigue, trouble sleeping, lightheadedness or dizziness. Often, a heartburn or indigestion causes tightness or pain in the chest which is frequently mistaken to be a heart attack. The basic difference between the 2 is that a heart attack will not last more than a few minutes whilst heartburn can. Whenever you suspect that you have a heart attack, call for help, take an antacid, loosen your clothing and take a few deep breaths. If the condition does not improve within a few minutes, rush to the hospital. It is better to be safe than sorry. However, dont get paranoid about the same. Get your blood pressure checked every few months and an ECG every year to catch any heart trouble at the earliest.
