Q What is the difference between cold and flu?
The common cold and flu varies according to the symptoms and the duration of the suffering. The symptoms of common cold are nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, occasional headache, slight bodyache, mild cough etc. Whereas, the symptoms of flu starts with high fever, general bodyache, weakness and fatigue, more chest discomfort etc. The complications of cold include sinus congestion, middle ear infection, eye pain etc. The complications of flu causes more discomforting pathologies like sinusitis, bronchitis, ear infection, pneumonia; and it can be life-threatening in some newborns.
