Q My fiance and I have been trying to have a baby for quite some time now. Im not on any form of birth control, and every time we have intercourse we dont use protection, and he ejaculates inside me. I got my period February 13th, 2013, and it lasted for 6 days (ended February 18th, 2013), My periods are never regular, but some months they do come around the same time. My fiance and I had unprotected sex February 24th, and the 27th. 2 weeks later on March 4th, I got a brown discharge that lasted for barely 3 days, (until March 7th). It wasnt even enough to fill up a pad. I thought that might be ovulation spotting, but I have never had ovulation spotting before in the 9 years that ive had my period. My fiance and I then had unprotected sex March 9th, 2013 through March 19th, 2013. Im just curious as to why I got my "period" again 2 weeks later after I already had it. My nipples have been tender lately, and I have been feeling nauseous.
The bleeding, tenderness of nipples and nausea in your case might be due to hormonal changes. Estrogen is required for thickness of the uterine wall and progesterone is used for thinness. The balance of these hormones is required during menstrual cycle. But due to causes like fibroids, endometriosis or cysts; irregularity in menstrual cycle is seen sometimes. Brown and thick discharge may be normal in menses and is usually due to accumulated blood which is not expelled at the time of previous menses. Unprotected sexual intercourse may transfer parasitic infection, due to which bleeding is seen. Cervical erosion by sexual intercourse may also be the cause of your bleeding. Periods may vary from 24 to 35 days normally. So if your periods vary more than this, and if the irregularity in menses persists in future, you need to consult a gynecologist.
