Q Dear Sir/Madam. My wife has minor PCOS. We are trying for baby from last 2 years. She was on Metformin & Sysron N from last 4 months. We did one attempt of Clomed but failed & last month we did IUI with help of Gonadotropins & Vaginal progestin. After 18 days of IUI we did Beta HCG but its negative (0.00ml) but she havent got her menses yet which was due on 13th as per last month. She has some problems like lower abdominal cramps, craving, frequent urination, sore breast, bloating, gasses. Our age is 34, my wifes height is 5 feet weight is 87, her ovaries are normal, falopian tubes are normal, her uterus is normal & positioned right with proper thickness. My sperm count is 130Mn with all normal. Please guide me
If beta HCG is negative she has to get USG pelvis and check endometrial thickness and then use medicine for menstruation. Regarding PCOS management your wife has to loose some weight and have induction of ovulation and try IUI again. Her Body mass Index is 38.7 which is more. For symptomatic relief of cramps etc she can use over the counter anti-spasmodic tablets.
