At that time uric acid level was 8. Now it is 5.5. Two yrs ago, my uric acid level was 13. Sometimes i suffer from joint pains - mainly ankle pain or neck pain. 2 years ago x-ray report suggested that i have cervical spondolysis. Now due to the operation in my knee, my movement is restricted as i cannot completely bend my knees. It seems than still some fluid is deposited just above the knee joint, but much lesser amount post operation. How long it will take to fully cure? What necessary things i need to do to avoid further joint pains as well as deposition of fluid. My doctor has given me 3 medicines, since i also suffer from gastritis. The medicines are - (1)zyloric - 3 tabs per day; (2)rablet d - 2 tabs per day , before b/f & dinner (3)ezact 120 - 1 tab after lunch
With preventative treatment you may be able to prevent further attacks or lessen their severity. Without preventative treatment future attacks will likely occur, usually months or years apart. Its important to stay on your treatment regime and check in with your doctor before altering or discontinuing medications. nThings that you can do to avoid further pains and deposition are as follows:-n1. Reducing activity that causes painn2. Apply ice wrapped in cloth for 15 to 20 minutes every couple of hoursn3. Elevate the knee above the level of the heart (lying down with the knee on a pillow)n4. Lightly wrapping the knee with an elastic bandage helps reduce pain and inflammation.n5. The bandage should be removed before bedtime.n6. Drink lots of fluids, especially water.n7. Reduce the amount of meat in your diet because meat is rich in uric acid forming components. Consider a vegetarian lifestyle.n8. Eat plenty of raw fruit, vegetables, grains, seeds, and nuts. Cherries and strawberries appear to be most beneficial.n9. Avoid purine rich foods like anchovies, asparagus, crab, fish roe (caviar), herring, kidney, liver, meat gravies and broths, mushrooms, mussels, peas, beans, and sardines.n10.Avoid alcohol. n11. Excess body weight and crash dieting both can result in increased uric acid levels in the blood. Reduce any extra weight slowly and healthfully.n12. Exercise regularly.n13.Low fat and low protein diet should be taken.
