Hello. Heart attack is an emergency condition arised due to cardiovascular disease. Means it is chiefly due to vascular problems that lead to reduced blood supply to heart itself. Due to which, normal functioning of heart is hampered and it may stop working due to insufficient fuel. This perticular thing is termed as heart attack. So it becomes obvious to prevent heart attack, that you should maintain your blood vessels and heart muscles in good condition. Avoiding risk factors for heart attack is the best way to keep attack away. For this their are many effective diet and lifestyle changes, which are listed beow: 1. Daily exercise is mandatory for a happy living heart. Any moderate exercise can be chosen like brisk walk, running, jogging, swimming, cycling, etc. Do it for 30-40 minute daily. Aerobic or cardio exercises should be prefered. 2. Keep eye on your unhealthy fat consumption, which in turns incease cholesterol levels of your blood. It does not mean to cut off healthy fat. Just avoid or limit your excess fat intake. As excess fat in blood accumulate at inner lining of blood vessels, narrowing their lumen. 3. Avoid smoking or tobacco in any form. As it can produce havok on your arteries and heart. It tend to cause potential damage to blood vessels and make them narrower, increasing risk of heart attack. 4. Get adequate sleep daily. This will help you to stabilise heart function, and will reduce stress levels. Long term stress will make your heart weak and will increase chances of heart disease. 5. Give emphasis on vegetables, fruits, nuts, lentils, whole grains, fiber rich food, oily fishes like salmon, and least processed food in your diet. Your diet plays an important role in keeping your heart healthy. 6. Do not let extra kilos to get over you. Keep your weight strictly in healthy range. As obesity is now a days commonly growing risk factor for heart attack. 7. Keep your blood sugars under control if you are a diabetic.
